Levi F. Putt


Levi F. Putt was born in Portage County, O., in 1847. When at a proper age he was apprenticed to learn the harness-making trade. This he followed some fifteen years; he then engaged in buying produce for several years; he then engaged in the secret service. While on duty in the winter of 1881 on the C. C. C. 6t I. R. R., the train was wrecked by a broken rail, and he was severely injured, from the effects of which he has not entirely recovered. In 1870 he married Miss Cornelia Ogden, of Port Jefferson. By this marriage there are two children, Harry O. and Charles W.
