Andrew H. McClure


Andrew H. McClure, second son of Andrew and Jane McClure, was born in Greene County, Ohio, March 26, 1829. He came to Shelby County with his parents in 1834, where he grew to manhood on a farm. On the 20th day of December, 1855, he married Miss Mary J., daughter of John and Mary Spence. Miss Spence was born on the farm now owned by J. W. Clancey, in Franklin Township, Shelby County, Ohio. March 4, 1836. Mr. and Mrs. McClure settled on a farm in the northeast corner of Turtle Creek Township, on which they remained twelve years. March 3, 1868, they moved on the farm in the north half of section 10, Franklin Township, where they now reside. They have a family of four children. viz., Margaret E., William C., Ina S., and Essa A. Mr. McClure has made farming his vocation, and now owns a farm of 137 acres.
