John H. Lowman

John H. Lowman, son of John Lowman, was born January 1, 1835, and settled in this county in 1841. He served his time as a harness-maker. In 1857, he married Caroline, daughter of Frank and Dennis Leesing; she was born in 1840. Their children are Henry, John, Joseph, Frank, William, Charles, Mary, and Catharine. He has been pike superintendent. John Lowman, his brother, served in the Mexican war. John Leesing served three years in the late war, and also John Wilbering.
