John Clemans Hilgefort

John Clemans Hilgefort, son of Dedrick and Margaret Hilgefort, was born October 26, 1837, and raised a farmer and settled here in 1848. July 3, 1859, he married Mary, daughter of Henry and Catharine Poppelmann, who settled here in 1838. She was born in 1843. Their children are Mary, Joseph, Catharine, Josephine, Frederick, Bernard, Frank H., and Francis D. He has filled the office of supervisor.
