James Harper, Jr.

James Harper, Jr., son of James and Jane Harper, was born in Loramie Township, Shelby County, O., April 6, 1840. He owned eighty acres of his father’s home farm. On the 4th of February, 1882, he married Miss Mary E. Sharp (daughter of Jno. Sharp), then of Miami County, Ohio, but a native of Mercer County, O., where she was born June 23, 1853, and came to Miami County with her parents in 1870.
