John Fogt

John Fogt, son of George and Julia Fogt, was born in Franklin Township, on the farm where he now resides, October 14, 1846. January 9, 1869, he married Miss Lydia A., daughter of John M. and Leandea Shiff, born in Franklin Township, Shelby County, Ohio, October 13, 1848. Mr. and Mrs. Fogt settled on part of his father’s home farm, where they now reside. They have three children, one son and two daughters. In 1878 he began the erection of his fine brick residence, which he completed in 1879.
