William D. Davies


William D. Davies was born in Iowa City, January 20, 1850. He attended the Ohio State University, read law three years, and was admitted to the bar in Iowa City in 1870. He then travelled for different railroads until 1875, when he came to Sidney and bought the office and business of Judge Thompson. He was married in November, 1880, to Miss Belle Mathers of Pennsylvania, and has one child, Amelia. Mr. Davies is a son of David and grandson of Thomas Davies, who were both natives of Wales. David  Davies moved to Iowa and settled on the prairie. W. D. Davies is now well established in the practice of law in Sidney, and gives promise of taking high rank in his profession.
