William Custy

William Custy, a native of Ireland, was born in 1848. When about two years of age he was brought to the United States by his parents, they first locating at Sidney. In 1853 they moved to section 26 of this township [Van Buren]. Of their four children, our subject and a brother, James, are still living. Their father died in 1862,while their mother still lives with her two sons. William and James are both farmers near McCartyville.
