Michael Boyle


Michael Boyle was born in Delaware in the year 1808, and came to Fairfield County, Ohio, in 1829. Here about 1836 he married Mabel Smith, the widow of Ascum Smith, whose maiden name was Hayes. By this union there were children, of which Mrs. Pickering is the eldest. In 1846 he came to Shelby County and entered eighty acres of land in Washington Township, and moved upon it the same year, erected a cabin in the green woods, and commenced to make a home. He remained here about thi teen years, then returned to Fairfield County to take care of his parents. He remained with them until their death. In 1866 his wife died. Shortly after her death he returned to Shelby County, where he resides at the present time, making his home with his children.
