Charles Bennett
Charles Bennett, a son of Nehemiah and Sarah Bennett, was born in Franklin Township, Shelby County, Ohio, Oct. 25, 1825. He is a cabinet-maker by trade, which he made his vocation about six years, or until 1849, when he turned his attention to farming, which he has since followed, and now owns a part of his father’s home farm. February 17, 1848, he married Miss Nancy M. Dickensheets. They settled in Sidney, remained until 1849, when they moved on the farm where they are now residing. They reared a family of five children, three sons and two daughters.
