John A. Tracy

The Dayton Herald of Dec. 26, contains an extended obituary sketch of John A. Tracy, father of J.F. Tracy, of this city. The older Tracy was 65 years of age and was for 40 years a resident of Dayton. He enlisted in that city under the first call for troops, in Co. G., 11th. O.V.I., and re-enlisted in the First Ohio Battery and was honorably discharged in October, 1863, for disabilities incurred in the three years campaign. The deceased was buried with military honors.
