Solomon Gladden

Solomon Gladden came [to Monroe Twp.] in 1816, but did not settle permanently until 1817. He had served in the war of 1812; was a justice of the peace and a member of the legislature. 'Squire Gladden was the grandfather of the Hon. W.S. Kerr, Mansfield's ex-congressman.
