Jacob Cackler


Jacob Cackler, farmer, P. O. Kent, was born in Franklin Township, this county, October 3, 1828, and is a son of Christian and Theresa (Nighman) Cackler (see sketch of C. C. Cackler, Franklin Township). He was reared in Franklin Township, this county, where he received a limited education in the common schools. He was married September 27, 1849, to Cordelia A., daughter of Oliver and Mary Crosby, of Shalersville, by whom he had five children: Mary A., wife of S. Fuller; Almond; Kate, wife of P. H. Fishel; Kittie, deceased, and Belle, deceased. Mr. Cackler is a worthy citizen of Streetsboro. In politics he is a stanch Democrat.
