Dr. F. B. Groesbeck
Dr. F. B. Groesbeck, a prominent physician and highly esteemed citizen of Steubenville, O., who has been identified with the medical profession of Jefferson County for the past four years, was born December, 1875, in Granville, N. Y.
Dr. Groesbeck was about five years of age when his parents removed to Titusville, Pa., where be was reared and obtained a common school education. His parents subsequently removed to Florida and in 1895 he entered the Homeopathic Medical College of Cleveland, from which he graduated with the class of 1899, and immediately afterward embarked in the practice of medicine at Buffalo, where he was associated with Dr. Dewitt G. Wilcox, a distinguished physician and surgeon of this locality, and owner of a private hospital known as the Lexington Heights Hospital. Dr. Groesbeck continued his association with Dr. Wilcox until 1905, when he came to Steubenville, where he has established an extensive practice and possesses to the fullest extent the esteem and confidence of his fellow men. Dr. Groesbeck is a member of the Ohio State Homeopathic Medical Society, the Ohio and West Virginia Homeopathic Medical Society, and the American Institute of Homeopathy. He is medical examiner for several insurance companies, among them the Protected Home Circle, the North American Union Life Insurance Association, the Roman Catholic Union of America, and the Columbus Mutual Life Insurance Company. Dr. Groesbeck is also identified with other business interests of Steubenville. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, is fraternally an Elk and Knight of Pythias, and his religious connection is with the St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Dr. Groesbeck was married November 15, 1889 to Florence S. Stone, of Buffalo, N. Y.
