Alexander Guard

Alexander Guard of Elizabethtown, New Jersey, with his family, came to North Bend in 1793, and in 1796 to this township. His family consisted of five sons Timothy, David, Ezra, Bailey and Chalen, with three daughters - Sarah, Betsy and Hannah. Many of the descendants of this pioneer family are honored citizens of the township at this time.
