Dr. Erastus Field
The old and much respected Dr. Erastus Field began his work in Bellpoint, and after eight years moved to Ostrander, where he labored until about 1876, when, with his son, Dr. J. H. Field, who graduated from the Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1870, and who was associated with his father, moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. The old doctor was brought back to his old home for burial several years ago. His son is still practicing in Knoxville, Tennessee.
