W. H. Woolevy


W. H. Woolevy, senior member of the firm of Woolevy & Ramseyer, proprietors of the City Book Store, the oldest institution of its kind in Lima, was born in 1854 at Selma. Alabama, where he lived until after the close of the Civil War, when his parents moved to Miami County, Ohio.

Mr. Woolevy began his business career as traveling representative of the National Wall Paper Company, which he served for 11 years. For the past six years, in partnership with Otto F. Ramseyer, he has been interested in the present interprise, the firm having purchased the business from Mr. Robinson.

Both Mr. Woolevy and Mr. Ramseyer are also interested in the National Anchor Company.

In 1881 Mr. Wooevy was married to Emma Leyburn, and they have one daughter Nellie, who is the wife of W. O. Davis, who is a conductor on the Lake Erie & Western Railroad.
