James Sunderland

James Sunderland's parents, Dye and Mercy Sunderland, came to Allen County from Montgomery County in 1820. James was born in this county in 1827. His wife was born in Delaware County in 1830. Their children are, Jacob, Henrietta, Charles, Mercy E., Mary E., and Jennie. Mrs. Sunderland is a daughter of Jacob and Nancy Baker, who came from Delaware County in 1838, and whose children are Rachel, Susan, Jacob, David W., William A., Thos. B., Levi C., and Jemima.
