Gideon Steiner
Gideon Steiner is a son of Christian and Barbara Steiner. Elizabeth, his wife, is a daughter of John and Anna Haas. Mr. Steiner was born in Richland County, May 14, 1841, and was brought to Allen County by his parents when he was about one year old. Mrs. Steiner was born in Crawford County, July 2, 1847. Their children are, Mary Ellen, Robert Edward Lee, and Alice May. Mr. Steiner is one of a family of ten children--Elias, Gideon, David, Isaac, Peter, Mary, Barbara, Noah, John and Fanny. Mr. Steiner has been Township Treasurer.
