John Meyer
In the year 1839, Mr. M.'s parents, Peter and Margaret, brought him to America, from Switzerland, where he was born, 16th of June, 1828. His wife, Elizabeth, daughter of Christian and Magdalena Saurer, was born in Wayne Co., Aug. 8, 1836. They have five children--Elizabeth, William, Matilda, Bertha and Edward. Mr. M. has five brothers--Abraham, Christian, Peter, David and Daniel, and one sister, Elizabeth. Mrs. M. has two sisters, Mary and Christina, and one brother, John.
