James M. McKinney
James M. McKinney's father, Thomas, was born at Warren, Trumbull County, in 1812. His mother, Rebecca Hadsell, was born at Hartford, Connecticut, in 1815. She removed with her parents, in 1821, to Trumbull County, Ohio, and was there married to Thomas McKinney in 1836. James M. McKinney was born in Trumbull County, March 16, 1837, and in 1838 the family came to Allen County. On the 10th of Oct., 1861, James M. McKinney was married to Rachel A. Holland, who, with her twin brother, Thomas B., was born 1st March, 1845, in Bath Township. Their children are Lillie Viella, born 31st July, 1862; Thomas A., born 20th October, 1864, died 2d November, 1865; Netta T., born 27th December, 1866, died 29th July, 1868; and Nellie Maud, born 20th June, 1874, deceased. Mr. McKinney has five sisters and four brothers, all living: Lydia E., Alvin Y., Joseph W., Mary J., Aurilla F., Daniel A., Caroline M., Henry B., and Martha M. Mrs. McKinney is a daughter of Barton A. and Lydia Holland. Her father was born in Fayette County, in 1822, and came to Allen County in 1842. Her mother, Lydia Osmun, born in Warren County in 1820, came to Allen County in 1843, and was married to Mr. Holland in 1844. Mrs. McKinney has two brothers and one sister living: Thomas B., James C., and Lorena A.
