Alexander Kerr

Alexander Kerr was born in Knox County, October 12, 1819. He married Jane McCoy, who was born in Virginia, January 6, 1823. They have six children--Sarah J., Harrison E., Rufus A., James F., George W. and Albert R. Sarah is the wife of Shepherd Rudy, of this township. Mr. Kerr's parents are James and Elizabeth Kerr, who have seven children--Martha, Robert, Eleanor, Eliza, James, Alexander and Jane. His wife's parents are Andrew and Sarah McCoy, who came to this county in 1833, and whose children are, David, Elisha, Moses, Mary, Elizabeth, Miriam, Jane and Letitia.
