Jesse J. John
Jesse J. John, son of Griffith and Rachel, and brother of Sarah, Melissa, Emily, Ethan, Yamsey, Abiah, Martha and Paulina, was married to Mary Roush. Their children are Griffith, Martha, Paulina, Frank P., Jesse C., Jehu E., Charles E., Wilbur F., Eliza A., Letta A., and Isaac N. Mr. John was born January 6, 1827, in Ross County, whence his parents removed to this county in 1832. His wife was born in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, December 17, 1835. Her parents, Jacob M. and Hannah Roush, came to Allen County from Pennsylvania in 1849. Mrs. John has two brothers and three sisters--Henry, Eliza, Joseph, Anna, and Melva.
