Peter V. Sherwood

Peter V. Sherwood, retired farmer, was born in Somerset County, New Jersey, September 29, 1799, and came to Shelby County in March, 1831, purchased land in this township, and moved his family August 29, 1831, where he is now residing. March 29, 1826, he married Clarissa Meighen, born in Butler County, Ohio, October 9, 1806. By this union he reared a family of seven children, viz., Mary A., William M., Abigail, David, Lucinda, Leah, and Eliza P. Lucinda and Eliza P. are now dead.
