John B. Rottinghaus

John B. Rottinghaus, son of J. H. and Catharine Rottinghaus, was born November 12, 1812, and raised a farmer. On January 9, 1842, he married Elizabeth Unterbrink, daughter of Henry Unterbrink, who was born June 7,1822. Their children are Elizabeth, Matilda, Anna, and John William. He has filled the ofiice of justice of the peace for eighteen years, and township clerk. He was the first settler on section 5. He settled in this county in 1832; the Indians had just left, and were at Fort Wayne.
