Judge Jonathan Francis

Judge Jonathan Francis was one of the pioneer settlers of Shelby County. He came here from New Jersey about 1812, and located in what is now Orange Township. Here he raised a family of seven children. Isaac was the youngest of the family; he was born in 1825. In 1850 he married Sarah A. Wert.
