John McMakin

John McMakin was born at Pine Grove in 1854. He was married at Lake Run, Scioto county, in the year 1881, to Margaret McIntyre, who was born at Pine Grove Furnace in 1854. They have one child, Mary Ann, born November 7, 1881. The parents of Mr. McMakin came to Lawrence county in 1852. Their names are John and Mary (Kelley) McMakin. William and Anna (Duffey) McIntyre are the parents of Mrs. McMakin. Mr. McMakin has been clerk in Elizabeth township during the years 1880 and 1881. Mr. McMakin keeps a general merchandise store at Lawrence Furnace, Ironton, which is his postoffice address.
