Shepherd Rudy
Shepherd Rudy and his wife were both born in Miami County--he Feb. 16, 1823--she May 19, 1833. They have eight children--Almeda, Eliza J., Adelia, Mary, Franklin, Marvin, Elmer and Olive M. Eliza J. was married to John Place, and now lives in Iowa. Mr. R.'s parents are Jacob and Fannie Rudy, who have eight children--Frederick, Jacob, Nancy, Elizabeth, Fannie, Shepherd, Aaron and Sarah. Mrs. Rudy was Ann Stonebarger, daughter of Adam and Sarah Stonebarger, whose children are Margaret, Sarah, John, Adam, Lydia Ann, William, Eliza and Martha. Mr. Rudy came to this county in 1851--his parents came in 1858. Mrs. R.'s parents never resided in this county.
